The following are lifestyle tips I suggest for health and detoxification.
Exercise
Movement is essential for detoxing. Exercise to sweat, and get blood and lymph flowing; for at least 30 minutes, 3 days a week. Exercising reduces toxic load by flushing toxins out and improves lymph flow.
Optimal Sleep
Sleep removes waste products from the brain. Make sure to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night. Listen to your body, if you're tired get the extra rest. Tip: sleep in a cool, dark, quiet room to enhance sleep quality.
Toxin-Free
Use personal hygiene, cosmetics, and household products that are natural and free from toxic chemicals. I frequently use an app called Think Dirty to check products for ingredients that are toxic. Products used daily are absorbed through our skin and breathed in through our lungs.
Drink Water
Optimal water intake for your particular body weight; at least half of your body weight in ounces. Water is essential to improve digestion and flush toxins from our liver and kidneys. I recommend filtered or alkaline water. Avoid carbonated water as your main source of water intake.
Massage
Massage helps with detoxification by increasing the circulation of lymph and blood. A detox massage is a form of deep tissue massage therapy that focuses on the body's muscle tissues, lymphatic system, and mental stimulation.
