Sea Moss Gel

chai tea mug

All the vitality, straight from the sea. Your daily ritual for nourishment. Turning wild, dried sea moss into a high-vibrational gel that supports your body with trace minerals, detox, and energy.

Ingredients (makes a 32 oz jar):

  • 1 handful (~ ¾ cup) dried sea moss; sea moss I get

  • Filtered water (for soaking + blending)

  • A squeeze of lemon (for cleaning)

  • 3 cups hot filtered water (for blending)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse & Clean. Place dried sea moss in a bowl, and rinse well under cool water. Add fresh water to cover, and a squeeze of lemon to help remove salt and debris. Soak for 15 minutes, rinse, and repeat until the water runs clear.

  2. Soak Overnight. After the final rinse, cover the sea moss again with fresh water (and a squeeze of lemon) and let it soak overnight or 8–12 hours. The sea moss will expand and soften.

  3. Blend. Drain the soaked water. Add the softened sea moss to a blender with 3 cups of hot filtered water. Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy. At this time, add in flavor (see flavor variations below).

  4. Pour & Store. Pour into a 32-oz mason jar. Let cool, then refrigerate overnight until it thickens into a gel. Keeps for up to 1 week refrigerated, or 2 months frozen. I suggest having at least 2 tablespoons daily.
